Hilsha fish 1 piece
Sour curd ½ cup
Fried onion slice (beresta) 1 cup
Ginger paste 1 tsp
Cardamom 2 piece
Cinnamon 2 piece
Ghee ½ cup
Sugar ½ tsp
Salt as required
Methods/steps
Take the fish (only middle portion, remove the head and tail).
Take the fish in to a bowl; mix it with sour curd, fried onion slice, ginger paste, ghee, cardamom, cinnamon, salt and sugar properly.
Put water in to the bowl till the fish sink in the water properly.
Put the mixture with fish in to the pressure cooker for 2 ½ hours.
After that bring down the cooked ilish from the burner and decorate with onion leaves.
Additional Tips
If the gravy is lighter than expectation cook only the gravy for few minutes more to make it more thick.
